Collateral Murder - Iraq Killings

Friday, 9 April 2010 by PD , under

A few days back a video was released by WikiLinks which brought outrage from the International Community. It showed the deliberate and brutal killing of Children, Reuters Journalists and other people by the American Army in Iraq.

The thought comes to mind though, how many other innocent people have been killed in Iraq by the US the same way? Are the 'insurgents' they actually claim to kill are actual insurgents or innocent people labelled as insurgents?

Sadly enough, sites like Facebook are trying to block people from linking to this video/site. Which I find utterly pathethic. The truth can never be stiffled. It will always rise.

On the other hand, how long will our outrage last? And are we going to do anything about it in the long run? Or are we going to rave and rant a little before quietning down just as we did after watching Abu Ghraib, Guantanamo Bay and Fallujah?

we shall do absolutely nothing. as always. even if a thousand such videos were to leak, it wouldnt do any good, havent we been watching videos of what's been done to people in palestine ever since we were all young kids? Empathisers of the American cause will never accept the truth, and us knowing the truth will not get us to try to fix the problem.

I would have to agree with the above comment. We will be rattled up for a few weeks, if not days, then quiet down. The state of the Islamic nations is pitiful to say the least.

Your wondering about how many are insurgents and how many are innocent people are legitime, but even if they are insurgents, aren't they fighting the troops that invaded their country for mere economic purposes?

Also, we need to distinguish between "real" insurgents and "fake" insurgents: the attacks against innocent people labelled as "terrorist attacks", very often are carried out by the occupiers themselves, to further destabilise the country and keep up the fear of this not better identified "terrorism".
